Siemens invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Office Administration Learnership Programme 2024.

Learnership Details

  • Placement: Midrand, Gauteng
  • Ending Date: 30 May 2024

The Commercial Advancement Training Scheme

  • The learner will be given an initial 18-month learnership contract that will provide valuable workplace experience while studying part-time.
  • Learners completing the initial requirements of the learnership may be given further opportunities to continue with follow-up qualifications.
  • You will be required to perform a range of standardized administrative tasks with close supervisory guidance in support of the function that you are placed in.
  • Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) preparing presentation materials, calendar management, travel arrangements, creating reports, copying, reviewing outside mail, drafting correspondence, screening phone calls, and maintaining an easily accessible filing system.
  • You may be required to support special projects on simple operational tasks (as required).

  • Recent matriculants or young dynamic persons eager to kickstart their career in an integrated technology company within the internal services community.
  • The successful candidates must be willing to study part-time towards the ICB Office Administration NQF L5 qualification which will require additional effort outside of normal working hours.
  • Candidates considered will be those who share our values and have a real commitment to building a better future for themselves and South Africa.

Requirements

  • Between the age of 18 and 24 years old
  • Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric certification with English (first language) and Accounting with a 65% aggregate for both subjects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications and an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
  • High level of honesty, integrity, and be a team player.
  • Ability to learn quickly, respond/react quickly to changing priorities, and be dedicated to the completion of required tasks.
  • Learners will be required to work onsite at Siemens Park, Midrand.
