Teaching Bursaries in South Africa 2023

The teaching profession is the bedrock of society. Teachers provide the training upon which all other professions thrive for their success. This fact is well understood by South African society, and it is for that reason that there are so many teaching bursaries in South Africa that favor teachers or students of teaching.

With that being said, education becomes a very attractive course to study, especially if the student is gifted and can perform well in his studies. From undergraduate to postgraduate level, there are donors willing to provide funds for you to study, as long as you can show academic promise. One donor requires you to teach in a public school for about 4 years, and another donor is willing to sponsor you for further studies abroad through a teaching bursary scheme.
