YES, which stands for the Youth Employment Service, is a component of the public-private initiative that is being led by the Presidency in order to address the crisis of youth unemployment in our country. In accordance with the BBBEE definition, Eskom is working to provide employment opportunities for young people in South Africa who are currently without jobs.
We are looking for young people in South Africa who are eager to enter the workforce and would like the opportunity to gain a first-hand experience that could change their lives by working in our dynamic energy industry.

- Human Resources
- Finance
- Maintenance and Operations
- Business Enablement
- Asset Creation
- Customer Service
The Criteria for Selection
- Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than one year
- Should not have been studying full-time during the year of employment
- Should not have participated in or registered for the YES initiative in the past
- Participants will be put through a recruitment process, and if they are successful, they will be assigned to one of the Eskom Operations located throughout the Cluster.
